CNN Biggest Winner at Presidential Debate

It's just a fact that, as a media company, CNN absolutely sucks and by that what I really mean to say is that they Super Suck with a side of curly fries.

Currently, this nearly extinct, waste of space, American news channel found on cable, satellite, and the internet is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner.

You know CNN. They are the news organization who airs 24-hours of nonsensical liberal drivel and twaddle. Wait a minute. This commentary is beginning to sound very much like a Donald Trump campaign sound bite.

Regardless, CNN is a critical-care patient on life support. And, it is in desperate need of a big time all or nothing ratings jolt.

The remedy? Obamacare? No. Clever. But, no. Instead, the fine folks at CNN have decided to serve-up a well-orchestrated, televised forum that will promote Republican ideas and values set, at of all places, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library at Simi Valley, CA which is as incredibly brilliant and it is incredibly ironic.

Despite these overwhelming facts, a simple, powerful lesson can be learned here. Let's extend the logic: If CNN can get stronger, better, faster with this strategy, then it clearly stands to reason that our great nation will get better, stronger, faster, if we elect a Republican to the WH in 2016.
Yes. You're right. That's ironic, too.

Fox Presidential Debate August 2015

Latino Perspective: Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, and others..

By Martin Gonzalez.

This past week, Fox News offered us two candidate showcases. The presidential candidates were divided into two groups according to their poll ranking. The more popular candidates appeared in the later, evening televised debate. The lowest polling candidates appeared in the earlier, afternoon debate. I watched both, Here's my take:

The Evening Set
CHRIS CHRISTIE - He wins the award for "Huggable Hounddog". Though he growled his teeth a few times to show he's no pushover, Christie spent most of his precious camera time begging to be liked.
MARCO RUBIO - He wins for "Most Polished" politician. Though he lacks depth and substance, he is very well-spoken and came across as very relatable. He was my Most Pleasant Surprise debater.
BEN CARSON - He wins for "Most Twitter Friendly". Though he projected common sense, he said nothing new for any conservative who follows #PJNET #1A #TCOT #Freedom et al..
SCOTT WALKER - He (ignominiously) wins the award for "Biggest Disappointment". Though he's done well for his home state of Wisconsin, he did not live up to the hype during this debate. The guy has great PR just no personality.
DONALD TRUMP - He wins for "Staying True to Himself". Though his bluster seemed to be tempered somewhat by the gravity of the occasion and less by any respect that he clearly does not have for any of the contenders, he nevertheless managed to deliver plenty of Trump style.
JEB BUSH - He wins for appearing "Most Presidential". Though the Legacy Last Name haunts him, he definitely articulated that he is "his own man" with his own successes working for the people of his state of Florida.
MIKE HUCKABEE - He wins for "Smartest Guy in the Class" Though he has no chance of getting the Republican nomination, primarily because he will never be able to raise a respectable amount of money to defeat Hillary, this debate showcased his brilliant grasp of all the issues.
TED CRUZ - He wins for coming across as "Least Human". Though he has excellent presentation skills and stagecraft, he appeared absolutely cold, calculated, and robotic. However, Ted does get extra credit points for deftly answering the GOD question.
RAND PAUL - He wins for "Epic Fail". Though utterly destroyed by Donald Trump in the first few minutes of the debate, Rand was his own worst enemy be appearing least like a Presidential candidate and more like a spoiled little brat who was dismissed to the corner for being disruptive in class.
JOHN KASICH - He wins for sounding "Most Like a Politician". Though the debate took place in his home state of Ohio, he completely underwhelmed TV audiences with typical political platitudes.

The Earlier Set
GILMORE - Happy Gilmore has a better chance of winning the White House.
GRAHAM - On a scale of one to ten, he was good, not great. I give him an eight.
JINDAL - His quirky looks make him the least TV friendly of all the candidates. Sorry, Mr. Jindal, but presidential politics is also a beauty contest.
PERRY - He's plenty savvy about border issues but he's one dimensional.
SANTORUM - Big Man on Campus; Boyish good looks; and perennial 2nd string quarterback.
FIORINA - She was by far the most articulate and by far the only contender from this set who deserves a title shot. A Fiorina Clinton debate would be the ultimate chick fight.
PATAKI - Commander and Chief of Neverland

Poll: Trump Surges to Big Lead in 2016 GOP Presidential Race

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, is in 2nd place, at 13%
followed by former Florida governor Jeb Bush, at 12%.
The next seven, ranging in support from 8 percent to 3 percent, are: former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.), former Texas governor Rick Perry and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
The rankings are more important than early national surveys in previous campaigns because only the top 10 candidates, based on an average of the most recent national polls, will qualify for the first Republican debates. The first debate will be held Aug. 6 in Cleveland. Fox News Channel is the sponsor of that event and established the rules for eligibility.
The bottom six candidates in the Post-ABC News survey are Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who plans to announce his candidacy Tuesday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former New York governor George Pataki, former senator Rick Santorum (Pa.), businesswoman Carly Fiorina and Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.). Their support ranges from 2 percent to less than 1 percent.
The Republican race remains highly fluid and continues to change with each survey. Four months ago, Bush was at 21 percent, and that support has dropped significantly. Others who have faced erosion include Cruz, who was at 12 percent shortly after he announced his candidacy this spring and is at 4 percent now. Paul was at 11 percent two months ago and is at 6 percent in the new survey. Christie also has dropped steadily, from 14 percent in January to 3 percent.

San Francisco Shooting Kathryn Steinle Dead

Condolences, prayers to the Steinle family and friends for their loss.

EPIC FAIL
Well-known to the federal courts for nearly a quarter of a century, convicted felon and illegal from Mexico, Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate AKA: Juan Jose Dominguez de la Parra; AKA: Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez admitted to shooting Kathryn Steinle while she was sightseeing at San Francisco.

This tragic event is exacerbated by the disgusting game of hot potato played by the San Francisco Sheriff's Office and ICE.

But wait...this immigration imbroglio includes President Obama. That's right. By way of refresher, on July 2nd, just a few days ago, President Obama, through Jeh Johnson, Director of Homeland Security, announced the administration's new policy of "integration" instead of "deportation" for illegals.

Politics 101: Tell the people they WANT to hear because it is always more expedient than telling them what they NEED to hear.

Better Question:
Why is it that in our country it's more important to protect the rights of illegals over the rights of U.S. citizens?

SIDEBAR
In 2008, Gavin Newsom, who served as mayor of San Francisco at the time, publicized the city's sanctuary status in a  press release for San Francisco's Sanctuary City Outreach Program.  Newsome later backtracked somewhat after news organizations began exposing how the city's sanctuary policy had protected illegal alien gang members that were committing serious crimes in San Francisco and elsewhere.  In 2009, Newsome attempted to veto an ordinance passed by San Francisco's even more radical Board of Supervisors which prohibited illegal aliens charged with crimes from being detained by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). AND THIS IS NO JOKE: While mayor, one of Newsom's greatest accomplishments was banning styrofoam cups - actually, he is so proud of it, he includes that info on his "About" page of the Lt. Gov of CA website. Oh, and by the way, Newsome now serves as California's Lt. Governor. Can someone say Peter Principle.

SAFE HAVEN
By his own admission, Sanchez was in San Francisco precisely because it's a "Sanctuary City". And all illegals know that a "Sanctuary City" is a safe haven for them and their unabated criminal activities.

Despite a 1996 federal law (IIRIRA) that requires local governments to cooperate with DHS and ICE, many cities such as SFO have adopted formal or informal "Sanctuary City" policies that instructs local law enforcement not to notify the federal government of illegals living in their communities.

The argument is easily made that a "Sanctuary City" is complicit with the Obama Administration in subverting the U.S. Constitution.

SIDEBAR
Why do public officials pass sanctuary laws or establish unwritten "don't ask--don't tell" policies?  There are a variety of reasons.  Some politicians attempt to appease illegal immigration support groups such as the National Council of La Raza (NCLR),  Mexican American Legal Defense & Education Fund (MALDF), and League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), or other immigration activist groups that lobby local governments to implement formal or informal sanctuary policies. Other reasons include political contributions and ethnic voter support at election time; complacency, ignorance, or "don't care" attitudes; and purposeful resistance to existing U.S. immigration law based upon an open-border political philosophy that may serve their economic, political, or ethnocentric interests.   A great number of politically appointed big city police chief's often support an administration's sanctuary policy because they share a similar political ideology or just want to keep their job.  It's much easier too for city officials to collect their paychecks and avoid the political protests and threats of expensive lawsuits that routinely follow attempts by cities to stop illegal aliens from taking root in their communities.

According to OJJPAC.org, here's list of "Sanctuary Cities" in Arizona: Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix and Tucson.
